Does FarmVector work without signal?
Records are saved on this device first. Once offline support is active in the published app, it can also open without signal. Signed-in farm records sync to your account when connected. Home shows account sync, offline or error status; if sync needs attention, keep the device copy and use Backup & Export.
Where is my data stored?
Farm records are saved on this device. When signed in to your farm, they also sync to your account; without account sync, they stay device-only. Photos stay on the device where they were added and do not sync to your account. Check Home or Backup & Export for account sync status and keep a downloaded backup.
How do I back up my farm?
Open Backup & Export and tap “Back up / Export my farm data”. Keep the file somewhere safe; you can restore the records later on another device. Photos are not included in the backup and stay on the original device.
I closed the app halfway through an entry
FarmVector keeps what you type as you go. Open Quick Add again and your unsaved entry is restored — tap Discard if you don't want it.
I marked something by mistake
Tap Undo on the message at the bottom of the screen right after. Ticking off tasks, marking alerts read and resetting demo data can all be undone.
How do I log a water reading?
Tap the green + at the bottom, choose Water reading, pick the tank or pond and enter temperature, pH and oxygen.
How do I scan a tag?
Tap Scan on Home or in Quick Add. Point the camera at a FarmVector QR label or barcode. If the camera doesn't work, type the code instead.
Can I hide sections I don't use?
Yes. Go to Farm & Team → Sections on this farm and switch off anything you don't need. You can turn them back on any time.
Hard to read outside?
Turn on Sunlight mode in Farm & Team for darker text and stronger contrast.
Will basic record keeping cost money?
No. One farm, tasks, crops, livestock, aquaculture and offline logging are planned to stay free. See Plans & Pricing.
